Today I decided to explore Berlin Mitte neighbourhood and during my walking in the beautiful streets of the city centre, I decided to make a stop at Chén Chè, a Vietnamese Tea House that I have heard so much about it.
Niched inside a courtyard, Chén Chè is welcoming visitors into its own special and unique Asian universe made of special teas – some of them have healing properties – a lovely open-air garden, delicious rice desserts that are naturally gluten free and many savoury dishes as well.

I ordered the Golden Chrysanthemum tea that is said to be good for the eyes.
Chén Chè means “bowl of goodness”: when I received my bowl with the tea, I was literally in awe, so beautiful and so good !
For dessert, I chose sticky black rice with coconut milk, mango, strawberry and mint, tasty, naturally flavoured and not too sweet, just the way I like it.

At Chén Chè they use only natural and regional ingredients to prepare authentic dishes from the North Vietnamese tradition.
Many recipes descend from old monasteries and were passed on down many generations through their heritage.
I loved sitting outside: the garden is so calm, beautiful and peaceful. Such a special experience that I do recommend while doing your shopping in Berlin-Mitte 😉
