Yesterday I had dinner at Lucky Leek, a very nice restaurant located in one area of Berlin that I like very much:Prenzlauer Berg.
Lucky Leek is specialised in vegetarian and vegan cuisine and they can adapt a whole menu to gluten free people like myself. When I heard that, I was happy to go and try it.
For dinner they propose 3 or 5 courses menu: I went for the 3 one.
To start I was offered, tomato as a vegan mini caprese and candied with a delicious Indian sauce.
After I enjoyed a cauliflower creamy soup with pesto inside and a sweet potato chip with beetroot and fresh basil, loved it!
My main course was fried mushroom with sun-dried tomato spread, celery, baked fennel, chard, fresh spinach, peas, and a potato mash that came as a mini waffle and a blueberry coulis. My favourite …? Mr Mushroom !
For dessert, I had dark chocolate mousse - yummy! - elderflower ice cream, coconut mousse with orange zest, and a chocolate praline. My favourite here, mmmhh, the coconut mousse !
I really had a lovely time at Lucky Leek. Besides I could sit outside and enjoy the street and the people going by.
The only thing I did not remember from their website - and I hope you do if you go 😉 - is that they accept credit cards only starting from 80 euro. I live in Paris and basically I can use my credit card all the time but as we know, new country you go, new habits you find.
