Vert Midi salad bar and gluten free pasta

Located in the heart of the 3rd arrondissement in Paris, very close to the Centre Pompidou, Vert Midi is a salad bar, a restaurant and a food concept focused on healthy and mindful eating.

Today Vert Midi serves to its clients also the gluten free pasta from Pastificio La Rosa that I distribute in France.

La Rosa pasta is 100% artisanal, made with rice and corn flours, and it’s the result of a long mixing and a slow drying process that makes pasta be “al dente” and it can be enjoyed by everybody, not only people intolerant to gluten.

Marie, co-founder of Vert Midi along with her husband Yves, and I met during the SAAPS at Porte de Versailles last year. I proposed Marie to taste some gluten free pasta from La Rosa that I was presenting at the booth and that same evening Marie wrote me an email saying that she was blown away and that she found it very good!

Yesterday I had the pleasure to go back to Vert Midi and discover the newly refurbished restaurant and menu.

The good news is that Vert Midi has become 100% gluten free, organic, only seasonal ingredients, with vegan options as well.

Marie has decided to opt for a place that mirrored back her values and beliefs.

We are what we eat for a reason and when I see Marie sparkle more and more, I think that she can’t be a better spoke person of the healthy-licious lifestyle that she and her family have adopted during the last years.

On the menu you will always find pasta, salads and freshly pressed juices but also dishes cooked daily whose recipes have been concocted with much care and love.

I found the dishes perfectly balanced: they have the right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and vegetables. The ingredients are mostly steamed to preserve the maximum of health benefits and still be easy to digest.

If you don’t have time to stop for lunch, you can still grab a yummy sandwich made with focaccia from Chambelland boulangerie in Paris for example, or a salad if you want to feel lighter.

I went to Vert Midi for lunch: I tasted some delicious homemade kefir and my main course was made of millet, pepperoni sauce, free range chicken, streamed courgette and carrots spaghetti.

I did enjoy it and next time, and I will try the new desserts!
