During my stay in Turin I was so happy to discover Glutì, a lovely coffee shop in the beautiful and elegant street, Via dei Mille.

Glutì serves some of the best gluten free cakes, brioches and cookies that I have ever tasted.

I can’t explain with words the joy and the happiness that I felt when I could finally eat a gluten free brioche…!

It was a dream come true: for those of you who are familiar with gluten free food know how difficult some products are to make and how much effort they require. But when you can finally make it right, what a satisfaction it can be!

I was conquered and I went there two days in a row to splurge in two fantastic breakfast: the first day I had brioche + cappuccino with soya milk.

The day after, I was tempted by a “Garibaldina” cake + a healthy juice with apple, carrots and kiwi. The “Garibaldina” cake, that takes its name from Giuseppe Garibaldi who contributed to create the current state of Italy, is a wonderful cake made of a soft sponge cake + chocolate glaze + hazelnuts (the best hazelnuts are actually produced in the region of Turin). It was incredibly good!

At Glutì they have also free wi-fi that works beautifully, and there is a wide selection of biscuits and cookies like the Baci di Dama that I love so much, some of them are vegan as well. I tasted those with seeds and goji berries.

If you happen to be there for lunch the menu proposes gluten free focaccia, pizza and sandwiches. I didn’t have the chance to eat them this time but I will definitely do when I happen to be in town again.

I left Glutì bringing home some of its delicious cookies: these ones right here are with apricot jam and corn flour that gives them this beautiful golden color.

Now I can enjoy them with my afternoon tea and morning breakfast for one more week!
