The most delicious porridge that I have ever tasted!
Today I am happy to tell you about a ‘hot’ spot in London: 26 Grains.
26 Grains is specialised in grains: oats, quinoa, buckwheat, barley, millet, amaranth, spelt, flaxseed and rye, they are cooked through a variety of milks – nut milk, coconut milk – water or juices, depending on the recipes.
Most of the grains, like oats for example, are hand rolled in their kitchen, to ensure they haven’t been tampered with, extruded or over processed.
This means that also that the contamination with gluten is a much ‘far away’ possibility even though they can’t ensure that there might not be a slight little one.
I am celiac and I didn’t have any problem with their oats, I fully enjoyed my meal but each one of us knows it better for himself/herself and the choice is personal.
At 26 grains, all products are sourced locally as much as possible: we know that fruit and vegetable taste way better and are able to keep their precious nutrients if they don’t have traveled for miles and miles…
