I know, I can’t stay away from a good gluten free pizza for too long…and actually counting the hours, days and months from the last pizza I ate, I realised that it has definitely been way too long!
Even though Turin is quite far from my hometown Naples, hometown of all living pizzas, I decided to check out La Medusa that is both a restaurant specialised in sea food and a pizzeria.
La Medusa has developed along with A.I.C. (Italia Coeliac Association) a whole menu dedicated to gluten free food: from different entré to pasta, from side dishes to dessert, they offer many options to choose from.
I went for a gluten free pizza with mozzarella cheese, fresh cherry tomatoes and arugula.
My friend opted for a gluten free pizza with mozzarella, tomatoes, eggplant and fresh basil.
The gluten free pizza dough is made fresh and daily by La Medusa, I just wished that mine has been cooked better because it was raw in the middle and could not finish it.
I always salute the effort of people making fresh gluten free food especially such a challenging one like the pizza dough.
When I told the staff my disappointment they were willing to sort out a solution and I am confident that next time I will be back to La Medusa I will finish my gluten free pizza 😉
