Beyond Bread is another happy discovery that I made during my w-end in London.

Located in the beautiful Charlotte Place, Beyond Bread recently opened in January 2015 and it is the brainchild of Elena Golubovich, a culinary pioneer in the art of baking fresh, fantastic gluten free bread every day.

Here I am looking amazed at these multi-seeds loaves with tef and quinoa flour, they are as good as they look.

All the bread is made with sourdough (basically rice flour + honey used as a a natural starter for the dough to rise).  All the ingredients are simple yet natural: yeast, tapioca and potato starch, and rice flour.

And here it’s me again happily eating a delicious sandwich with gluten free bread, ham, rocket, goat cheese and dried tomatoes: the bread is crusty outside, fluffy inside, soooo good !

After, Chiara – my BFF – and I had spinach salad with green beans, goat cheese, roasted pine nuts, and pomegranate seeds. Delicious and fresh.

And what about some vegeterian and gluten free sweet potatoes and quinoa burger?! We couldn’t help tasting them too.

At Beyond Bread, you can really splurge and enjoy many gluten free treats like the quiche with tomato and goat cheese or vanilla and chocolate muffins.

While Chiara and I were looking at what to eat next, here it arrived a freshly baked banana bread, so the decision was easily made and the cake’s happily eaten.

pS by the way, it was the fluffiest banana bread that I have ever had – can’t wait to be back.
