World Wide Valery is one of my favourite gluten free blogs. It is full of delicious recipes, reviews, tips and tricks and great photos. Valeria, founder of World Wide Valery, is not only a talented cook but also a passionate photographer. Here she answers to our questions.
Chiara: Why gluten free?
Valeria: I was diagnosed with celiac disease seven years ago. Back then I understood immediately that the real problem for celiac people was sharing. When you start eating gluten free, most of the people who don’t have the same issue as you don’t want to share your food, they don’t want to eat it, they think it is bad and sometimes it is true! This is why I decided to turn my problem into my strength.
Chiara: What is World Wide Valery?
Valeria: I created this blog in 2012 with this idea in mind: sharing. On World Wide Valery I share gluten free recipes, tips, reviews on places that I visited and that I liked. I am also passionate about photography, actually I come from a family of photographers, photography is about who I am and it is the “fil rouge” in everything that I do.
When I shoot gluten free food for example, it is first of all about the photo and then the food. I started cooking and experimenting gluten free recipes because there were many things that I wanted to eat but I could not find them anywhere or if I did, they weren’t good.
I started to practice in the kitchen and make cakes, bread, muffins…In Naples I have the chance to use my mother’s kitchen which is so well equipped. When you start cooking gluten free, you soon understand that having the right equipment is key to succeed in your recipe.
Chiara: What is the gluten free food that you loved the most?
