Today we get to know Pane, Amore e Celiachia a bit better. Pane, Amore e Celiachia is one of the blogs that I love and I invited Elena and Eleonora, long time friends and co-founders, to share a recipe with Baci di Dama and have a nice chat around living gluten free and making great food.
Chiara: Why gluten free?
Elena: It was a necessity for me: I was diagnosed with celiac disease and so was my 4 years old daughter.
Eleonora: I am not sensitive to gluten, mine was a personal choice. When people ask me why I am involved in cooking gluten free while not being celiac or sensitive to gluten, I get surprised. The thing is that I understood that eating gluten free is not a whim or a trend but it is the only possible treatment for people suffering from celiac disease.
Chiara: What is Pane, Amore e Celiachia?
Elena+Eleonora: it is a blog made “a 4 mani” meaning “with four hands” by two best friends who live at 1000 km of distance (Elena lives down South in the Puglie region and Eleonora up North, in Trentino). You can find tips, advice, and beautiful easy-to-make gluten free recipes.
Chiara: What is the gluten free food that you loved the most?
Elena+Eleonora: The gluten free focaccia made by a historic bakery in Bari (in the Puglie region): it is such an explosion of taste that has nothing to envy to its gluten counter part.
Chiara: Gluten free is…
Elena+Eleonora: Going on a gluten free diet means not to give up on anything, most of all taste! When we create new recipes, we always look for genuine flavours to make great tasty foods.
