Who’s Glutenfreeely?

This week I introduce you a new blog that I love, Glutenfreeely, founded by the lovely and bright Elisa from Brescia, in Italy. We got in touch via Skype for the interview and even like this, Elisa transmitted me all of her passion, positive energy and love for gluten free cooking. Here we get to know her a bit better.

Chiara: Why gluten free?

Elisa: Because I can’t eat gluten. I was diagnosed with celiac disease ten years ago. But thanks to that, I started to discover new flavours. Then I started to have my family discover them too. In the end eating gluten free has enriched my life and I can say that you never get bored with it.

Chiara: What is Glutenfreeely?

Elisa: It’s a recipe blog that was born out of passion. It’s not about competition with other bloggers but it’s about the desire to share. When I started cooking years ago, I didn’t want to share my recipes with anybody, not even my friends. One day I completely changed my mind and I decided that I didn’t want to keep my recipes for myself, that I wanted other people to enjoy them too and also make something new out of them.

Chiara: What is the gluten free food that you loved the most?

Elisa: The gluten free pizza I ate at Umberto pizzeria in Naples; then there is the red berries tart with hazelnuts “frangipane” cream from pastry chef Ernst Knam that I made one day. Last but not least, my own risotto recipe with Parmigiano Reggiano and rosemary ice-cream, perfect for summer!

Chiara: Gluten free is…

Elisa: Curiosity. Look for new solutions in the kitchen.

Chiara: What is your next challenge?

Elisa: Have more time to cook and create new recipes using more natural flours than ready-made flour mix.
