Today we get to know Eat Performance a little bit better. Yeliz from the Eat Performance team answers to our questions.
Chiara: Why gluten free?
Yeliz: In Germany many people are gluten or lactose intolerant, in sport especially crossfit athletes tend to avoid gluten and lactose as well. I am celiac myself and I have always found it hard here in Berlin to eat good gluten free food. At Eat Performance we work with nutritionists and chefs to create the best possible recipes with a Paleo approach. A Paleo diet means that we take what nature gives us spontaneously and we give it back to consumers free from grain, gluten, milk, lactose, sugar, additives and preservatives. Our products are also 100% organic and our packagings are free from BPA.
Chiara: What is Eat Performance?
Yeliz: Eat Performance is a way of healthy eating & living that translate into a brand and a two venues bistros in Berlin: one bigger located in Kreuzberg and the other smaller, more familiar and cosy, in Schoenberg. Everything we make is paleo or with a paleo approach, for example we bake fresh gluten free bread everyday as bread is part of our culture. In Germany people are used to eat bread at breakfast and during their daily meals. Ours is made of chestnut flour and like many other Eat Performance products can be also ordered on line. We can ship our products all around the world. Our chefs are passionate about the food they prepare and enjoy experimenting new recipes: everything is hand-made, from our paleo cookies to our very sought-after chocolate, coconut and berry balls.
Chiara: What is the gluten free food that you loved the most?
Yeliz: I love our food especially the gluten free bread, the burgers and the cakes that actually have no processed sugar but are very tasty. We use only natural sugar such as coconut flower sugar and honey maple sirup. The result is amazing to me.
Chiara: Gluten free is…
Yeliz: Healthy and enjoyable.
Chiara: What is Eat Performance next challenge?
Yeliz: We are testing a delivery service in Berlin so that consumers can order their meal in advance and have it shipped home or at work. We hope to launch it soon.
