Hello dear readers, here I am in Venice for two months to work at the Biennale of Contemporary Art and in the meantime I am happy to explore this unique city in search of new gluten free places where we can enjoy eating good gluten free food and share pleasant moments in company or alone.

On Saturday I ended up at the We Market, a beautiful café niched inside an ancient cloister that used to belong to the Jesuit Crociferi in the past. Basically We Maket is part of We Crociferi, a social oriented project whose objective is to propose accommodations for students and travellers at reasonable prices. That is what they made by beautifully restoring the old cloister and transforming it in modern and hi-tech studio apartments for the students of Ca’ Foscari University and IUAV.
The owners of the We Market café are very nice and they know how to take good care of you. They serve food with gluten and without gluten which includes salads, pasta and sweets.
For lunch I had breasaola salad + sun that was pleasantly on the menu that day. Followed by a cappuccino and a gluten free chocolate muffin.
I worked (there is free wi-fi), I relaxed, I had yet another wonderful time in this city.
And if you happen to be around I suggest you stop there for breakfast or for an afternoon tea, and sit on the terrace overlooking the canale: it is small but cosy and the view on the bridges and boats passing by, well, it’s so Venice, I love you!
pS if you are in the mood there is also a football table inside, I can’t resist to kick a ball…
