On Monday I was in Venice for work (lucky me), it was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. For lunch I decided to try Tintoretto, a restaurant on the beautiful and picturesque “Fondamenta delle Misericordia” in Cannaregio.

The staff has been trained by Azzurra, the lovely owner of the gluten free shop Mea Libera Tutti!, and today they have a whole menu dedicated to gluten free.

I didn’t have much time so I went straight for the gluten free pasta with sea food, a speciality down here. The pasta is from an Italian gluten free brand that I like very much, the Asolane, made with corn flour. It was very tasty and perfectly “al dente”, just the way I like it.

One evening I went there again with my friend Azzurra and I tried another yummy gluten free pasta: spaghetti with fresh cherry tomatoes and shrimps. So fresh and tasty, loved it!

The staff at Tintoretto is really friendly and professional: I can say that they are there to listen to customers and they are ready to accomodate you in the best way they can.

For those of you who are still not familiar with the “Fondamenta della Misericordia”, it is definitely one place to go when you are in Venice.

In the evening it is so lively, not too crowded as Venice can be, and if you have the chance to have a beautiful day as I did, it is great to sit outside, have a cocktail and enjoy the canal.
