This week I had dinner at Soul restaurant with my BFF Frédéric and his friends.
I arrived a little bit in advance, just to have some time to chat with Emilie, the lovely owner of Soul. Emilie explains me that Soul was born as a place to have people see that actually eating healthy is simple, full of taste and fun!
In their kitchen butter and cream are banned, extra virgin olive oil and rapeseed oil are instead mostly welcomed. On the menu you can always find options that are vegetarian, gluten free and also lactose free.

Frédéric and I had delicious gluten free falafel with carrots and nuts, quinoa, grilled eggplant, mint yogurt sauce and feta tzatziki, and salad.
His friends opted for a gluten free salmon sashimi with rice, they said the fish was super fresh and very good.
For dessert I went for a gluten free strawberry sorbetto with fresh fruit, it was hot outside and so refreshing to eat sorbetto during summer 🙂
Frédéric opted for the gluten free chocolate mousse: I tasted it as well (I could never resist chocolate…), we both found it a bit too bitter. Maybe by adding some natural flavours, it will become just perfect.

At Soul the ambience is cool, homey and cheerful.
There is also a bar with a counter where you can sit, have a glass and relax.
Niched in Brussels city centre it also the perfect spot to enjoy a nice walk in town after a good gluten free meal.
