Last Sunday my friend Alma told me about Season, a newly opened coffee shop in Paris Marais neighbourhood that has several gluten free options on the menu.
Today it was rainy and wet but then the sun popped up and I decided to leave my laptop for a little while, take a walk and go to Season.
I was happy to discover such a lovely place, very comfy and laid-back, with a mixed crowd chatting around.
The cuisine offers a mix of healthy and yummy recipes conceived by an English chef along with a naturopath with the aim of marrying taste and well-being. Gluten free is also on the menu, so there is enough to satisfy everybody’s tastes :). The dishes are both French and with influences and inspirations coming from all over the world.
Season or, as I shall put it, a melting pot on a plate.
To start I opted for the daily special which was a delicious tandoori chicken with sweet potatoes.
I also loved the brand Juice-it that is specialised in healthy freshly pressed juices. I had “cinq”: a nice blend of chia seeds, kale, cucumber, ginger, pineapple, and fennel.
For dessert I went straight for the home-made gluten free cheesecake with raspberry coulis: it was super yummy!
My cappuccino ended a very pleasant meal.
I liked the design of the space: the big windows let the daylight come in and everything looked airy to me.
I love to see the street and the people walking by. It is like you are inside but still have that feeling of being part of the outside.
There are magazines spread around, beautiful flowers, a friendly staff, so many ingredients that contribute to create the mix for a very pleasant experience.
