Mûre take away restaurant

This week I was heading to the rue Saint Marc, at my favourite copy shop in Paris to have some materials printed when I spotted a newly opened take away restaurant in the street: Mûre.

The design looked so nice and when I read on the menu displayed outside that all the desserts were gluten free, I decided to get inside and investigate immediately.

Despite the kitchen handles also ingredients with gluten, all of the tarts and cakes are made fresh every day and gluten free. There are brownies, lemon cake with almond flour, madeleines. Available also some savoury and naturally gluten free options. Enough for me to decide to stay and have lunch.

My main course was a salad trio: my favourite !!? The deliciously marinated kale with orange, soya and honey accompanied by millet, raisins and hazelnuts. I love kale and this one took the cake, one of the best I have ever eaten.

I also ate the daily soup with broccoli and sesame seeds and for dessert I went for a plum clafoutis: I have never eaten clafoutis before and the one I ate was so good !

At Mure, all the products are organic, locally sourced and prepared fresh every day including bread and pizza that are baked with organic flours. These ones are with gluten but I think it is fantastic when I can find people that cook with such passion and attention for great food.

The menu varies daily and according to the seasons. There are also vegetarian options available and there is brunch on Saturday.

The day after I went back early in the morning to try their gluten free breakfast. I loved the gluten free madeleine made of chestnut flour, their home-made yoghurt with granola, a fresh juice that changes daily and a nice hot cappuccino.

Couldn’t leave happier…

pS for Paris and for me, it has one of the best price/quality ratio of the city.
