During this week-end I visited the beautiful Saint-Quentin market in Paris, it is covered and supposed to be one of the oldest in the city. Inside I made a stop at msKiosk, a lovely restaurant that makes 100% gluten free home-made foods, with some options that are also lactose-free.

Created by Marcus and Sonia one year ago, at msKiosk everything is fresh and home-made with the help of Monica who’s part of the team.
The bread is baked everyday and you can also order it in advance and have yours ready the day after to bring home with you.
The restaurant has a varied menu that proposes classic bistrot recipes of the French cuisine all made gluten free like crepes, galettes, croque-madame, croque-monsieur, quiches and also some Italian risotto !
I tried a delicious rösti that is a galette made of potatoes, onions and carrots. I also had a galette bretonne made of buckwheat with ham and cheese, very good as well.
To drink there is gluten free beer made in Belgium and of course the cider that goes just beautifully with the crepes and the galettes :)!
I couldn’t leave without dessert and I decided to bring mine home: in between the chocolate cake and the lactose free apple cake, I went for a lemon meringue tart that looked just so tempting to me. It was my breakfast the day after – I really enjoyed it.
pS Marcus told me that they are working on some gluten free fish&chips to be launched soon – stay tuned !
