Yesterday I was doing some work close to the Grands Boulevards, an area in Paris 9th arrondissement that has much charm to me and I love it every time I go.
For lunch I made a stop at a newly opened bistrot: La Crème de Paris, a temple to the gourmandise à la French, as I might say it, with many options that are also gluten free. Yummy !

On the menu and gluten free there are the gaufres, a.k.a. waffles, both savoury and sweet. The Galette Bretonne that is a crepe made of buckwheat flour and at La Crème de Paris it is made of 100% organic buckwheat.
I enjoyed one delicious gluten free “Nordic” galette with smoked salmon and dill cream, accompanied by a small fresh salad of cucumber, carrots and seeds.
Furthermore all cakes and ice-cream are gluten free and this is really good news! Christine and her brother Stéphane are self-taught cooks: Christine specialised herself in gluten free baking and Stéphane in ice-cream.
I tried a trio of sorbet with lemon, strawberry and passion fruit and also the carrot cake (…cannot resist when I see one…) and frankly, Bravo !! They were really good!

I loved the design of the place: it has all the charm of a French bistrot with a modern twist that you can spot in small details here and there.
The kitchen handles also gluten so please be wise, as I always say, nobody knows your body better than yourself 😉
And if you have the gluten free sweet tooth in Paris, now you have one more option to go and to enjoy !
