Are you looking for a gluten free muesli for breakfast or for an afternoon French gouter? Now it’s possible in Paris too thanks to a lovely tea room called Huguette Maison de Famille in Saint Germain des Près – 6th arrondissement.
Huguette is a “Maison de Famille” (a family home) for good: it was created by a mother with her two daughters in January 2016 with the objective of serving healthy, organic cereals like granola and muesli, both sweet and savoury, available also gluten free!
I am so happy about it. I do love some good gluten free muesli!
Another good news is the fresh juices that are pressed cold to keep all the precious nutrients. The fruit are all seasonal and organic
I went there for lunch one day and I did like the savoury gluten free muesli, a first for me. I have always eaten it sweet and for breakfast.
I chose the “Luxembourg” made of gluten free quinoa and chestnut served with avocado, tomatoes, pine nuts, spinach, black olives, mozzarella cheese, balsamique vinegar and sesame oil.
One word, delicious!

As per the sweet gluten free muesli we can definitely have fun!
We can chose in between fromage blanc (cheese), organic compote (fruit purée) or ice-cream. Then there are the toppings: fresh fruit from the market (my choice that day), chocolate chips with home-made spread and dried fruit and nut (apricot, figues, sultanas and hazelnuts).
Another thing that I loved is the peaceful and calm atmosphere of the place: it helps a great deal when I look for a real break in this fast-paced city. The wifi works beautifully and that makes room for some work too.
