In need of the perfect gluten free tea room?!? Well, I think I might have an answer for you. If you are in Paris, there is one place I would suggest you need absolutely to check out: Hoja in the Marais. Just across the wonderful Picasso museum, recently restored and so worth the trip.

Ana, the founder and the owner of Hoja, welcomes you in with her warm smile. Everything is fresh, natural, and very tasty. There are many gluten free options available on the menu that you can choose: from salads, to rice with vegetables or with chicken, to delicious cakes and apple crumble. And of course, fresh juices, coffee, tea, chocolate and so much more.

I opted for a combination of basmati rice, roast chicken and steamed vegetable. I stayed there to work a little on my laptop and when tea time kicked in, I took jasmine green tea and one mush have cake at Hoja: the pistachio with raspberries. It is absolutely fantastic!

What about the design of the place? How can you not love it…! It is like you step in the the cosiest home ever. From the wallpapers to the glasses, from the vase to the chairs & armchairs, everything is conceived to make you feel homey and comfortable. Ana tells me that the designer are Nuts & Architects. I will come back again with friends, maybe for a Sunday gluten free brunch and a visit to the museum after.
