In Sevilla there is one thing that I have learnt to love almost immediately: the desayuno a.k.a. breakfast.
My dear friend Rocco initiated me to this “rite” almost immediately after my arrival. Every morning, from 8 to 12 am, you can go to a bar in Sevilla and for almost 3 euros you can indulge yourself in a delicious “Tostada” and a morning latte, with coffee of course.
The typical “Tostada” is toasted bread, extra virgin olive oil, jamon iberico, fresh tomatoes that can come in juice or freshly sliced.
On day 1 we went to Gorki Selección bar café where Rocco is an “habitué”. It is located in a beautiful street and opposite there is the amazing Torre del Oro, the golden tower, that is a symbol of the city. Looking at it, with the sun shining in, it was quite magic to me.
We brought our own gluten free bread as the bar didn’t have it but we told the manager that it would be nice if in the future they could have gluten free bread available for future gluten free customers and lovers. The manager looked pleased about the idea and said he would take care of it.
On day 2 we went back to the same bar to enjoy another yummy breakfast and to our surprise the manager had already bought gluten free bread !! How nice of him !!
So I could delight myself with it and most of all, now I can say that if you go, you can have an amazing typical and gluten free Spanish breakfast!
Baci di Dama has accomplished another of its missions with the help of my BFF Rocco and that makes me really happy.
I hope that if you go, you will have the same great time that I had!
