Are you in Paris and by any chance you are looking for a good gluten free porridge to have breakfast with?

Here there is something actually new for a city like Paris: Bol, a porridge bar that serves also gluten free porridge.

Despite the more traditional French breakfast that calls for croissant or pain au chocolat, today the city is looking at alternative ways to kick off our day with a good dose of energy and taste.

Bol is specialised in sweet and savoury porridge.

The sweet porridge is gluten free so I headed there one day to have breakfast.

I opted for the one called “l’exotique” with buckwheat, millet, quinoa, mango, fresh fruit and maple syrup. The consistency was smooth and creamy; it was tasty and light at the same time. I did enjoy it and it was actually my very first gluten free porridge!

Regarding milk, you can also opt for the dairy-free almond, rice or soya milk.

The day I went to Bol, there was also a gluten free chocolate cake available. It doesn’t happen everyday but Bol’s objective on the long run is to satisfy as many clients as possible.

Bol Porrdige Bar was created by  Audrey Brémond and Maaike Chaix early in January 2016.

I see it as a small oasis of peace and calm in the middle of a lively neighbourhood, the 10th, that it can sometimes being crowded because of the traffic nearby.

I loved the big wooden table, I always do when I see one, and the beautiful flowers scattered here and there.

They make the place so cosy and to me it is definitely a good choice if you wish to eat something healthy, tasty, and take a break during a busy day.
