This week I am in Berlin, I have to say that I love this city very, very much and from time to time I feel the need to come back and see it again.
So here I am scoping also what’s new on gluten free on the Berlin scene :)!
Two years ago I discovered Funk you, a vegetarian take away restaurant specialised in superfoods with some vegan and gluten free options available on the menu.
Today Funk you has changed its venue and is niched inside the beautiful Bikini mall, close to the Zoo.
Yesterday I was there for lunch: I had a delicious gluten free “Pancho Villa” salad made of raw zucchini spaghetti “alla bolognese”, avocado, coriander, spring onions and sesame seeds. Very tasty.
My dessert was a delicious gluten free muesli with yoghurt, honey, apple, banana, raw chocolate and goji berries.
I also had a “Yoda” fresh juice with pineapple, apple, cucumber and mint
Funk you motto is Natural Food and its objective is to provide natural foods and products to recharge our body with energy. They are always creating new flavours using superfoods and the best ingredients from nature that they can find.
Besides the Bikini mall is one place to visit, I found the architecture really beautiful. I enjoyed the fact that many stores are organised inside “boxes” that reminded me a little bit of the cages where the animals in the zoo live…!
