Today I tell you about a restaurant and coffee shop in Paris – both gluten free and lactose free – that I like very much: My Free Kitchen.

Created by Carole and a brother Philippe a couple of years ago, My Free Kitchen is a the story of a family, passion for good, homemade food and love.

In time I have seen Carole improving her recipes over and over and the results show. Today she offers a wide choice of savoury and sweet gluten free foods for lunch, take away or early dinner. Furthermore she has developed some recipes that are also suitable for vegans like her matcha cheese cake and the coconut-chocolate cake, so moist and tasty, it’s one of my favourite actually.

Today I went to My Free Kitchen for lunch: as main course, I chose to have a quinoa salad with citrus and vinegar, a slice of sweet potatoes quiche, and gluten free homemade bread. One word, Bravo Carole!

To satisfy my sweet tooth, I opted for a strawberry tart with almonds: crunchy and tasty. I did like it.

If you go, you don’t want to miss some of Carole’s specialties: her chocolate chip cookies with hazelnuts – so gourmand!! – the mini banana bread, the muffins with apples and cinnamon, the crumble with seasonal fruit.

If you are more into savoury, then I would suggest you to taste the gluten free aperitivo at My Free Kichen available from 7 pm: the Carole’s famous plancha comes with some delicious savoury cake – well, I tasted this one too – or the homemade pizza served with a nice salad.

The latest news at My Free Kitchen is the gluten free mix created by Carole to make at home her much sought-after cakes and muffins.

You can choose between the almonds biscuits, the carrot cake and the muffins.

And if you don’t live in Paris, the good news is that you can now buy these mix also on line, on My Free Kitchen website:

This lunch was such a nice moment for me, topped with the flavours of cinnamon and orange flowers, spiced by the chit-chat of the people around me, brightened by the smile of Carole and the kindness of Philippe. Merci!
