Farmstand 100% gluten free restaurant

Farmstand is no longer 100% gfree but has options!

Another city that I deeply love is London; when it comes down to love, I cannot say why but I can tell that I do enjoy it every time I visit.

This time I went back for my birthday and also to share some quality time with one my dearest friends, Chiara (yes, we went Chiara&Chiara all the way…!)

While visiting, I also did some gluten free scouting, one big passion of mine as you might all know, and the first place we visited for lunch was Farmstand, in Covent Garden (thank you eat.travel.london for the recommendation!).

Farmstand is a 100% gluten free restaurant and coffee shop with vegan options opened for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner.

All the food is super healthy, sourced from local farms around London, everything is gluten free, dairy free and also refined sugars free.

The owner Steve was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, across the street from a farm and he was used to local farm stands along the streets where you could buy meat, fish, eggs, seasonal fruits and vegetables from local famers in the area.

With this idea in mind, Steve opened the first Farmstand in London in January 2016.

Today it welcomes clients to enjoy great tasting food that is cooked fresh everyday in a calm, relaxed environment.

Both Chiara and I, we enjoyed delicious salads and perfectly seasoned vegetables for lunch and some vegan balls that were slightly spiced and utterly delicious.

Not to talk about the muffins, so good!

I have to say that another thing that I liked at Farmstand is that prices are quite fair to be in Central London and compared to other places in the same neighbourhood.

Steve is a strong believer that eating well must be open to everyone and not to become… a luxury item only for the few…
