Dada organic grocery store

Dada in Paris was once associated with one important artistic mouvement but lately it has become synonymous of one of the most beautiful organic grocery stores ever!

Founded by Marie-Laure Dumarché and Yannick Le Bourgeois, Dada organic grocery store opened its doors in September 2015 and is part of the Biocoop network that delivers great organic products all over France. I was happy to find out that gluten free is represented by many brands and most of all there is also a nice choice of fresh gluten free products to buy for a quick breakfast, a lunch break or an early dinner. Dada is actually the first grocery store that cooks meals fresh everyday: you can stop there for a coffee by Coutume or an organic juice all day long.

At Dada all the food, with gluten and free of it, is cooked in the same kitchen so there is a possibility of cross-contamination. However Dada has labelled all of his gluten free fresh products “SANS SABO” which means without rye, oats, wheat and barley. I did enjoy the home-made granola, it’s very good as well as the soup I took with sweet potato and coconut milk that makes is also lactose free and vegan. Delicious! Cakes are good as well. I opted for a banana bread. I have always had a huge craving for it…can’t really say why!

At Dada what can look a bit intimidating because of its white elegance is quickly warmed up by the people who work there: to me they looked friendly and professional at the same time, ready to help and very nice. Before leaving I got lost in some fresh lettuce, as an Italian passionate by open-air markets I am always on the hunt for the best fresh fruit and vegetables in Paris. Yannick who was there made me notice one red ladybird walking on a green leaf…at Dada everything is fresh and living for real…wish I had a professional camera with me!
