Vegan can be just so good!

The Comptoir Veggie is a lovely restaurant during lunch time and a coffee shop all day long located in the lively in the 12th arrondissement, in Paris. It is specialised in vegan food and desserts with several gluten free options available on the menu everyday.

The moment I stepped in, I felt this place was somehow different, I felt that something was in the air…

To me, the Comptoir Veggie radiates with positive vibes, it’s got a friendly, laid-back, warm approach that made me feel at ease since my first visit there.

And how could this be different after Justine, the founder, told me her story and how she came up with the idea of Comptoir Veggie….!

This lovely, young woman took the leap and quit her job in finance to give herself the time to find her ‘real’ path in life.

She was aimed at looking for her biggest dream, chase it, track him down and turn it into reality!

This dream come true is Comptoir Veggie: a lovely place that feels a bit like her home, where people are always welcomed in with a smile and everything is cooked with love.

I do think that love is the word to use here: Justine takes care that all of her customers spend a good time and when it comes down to cooking, she asked the talented Fanny from the vegan recipes blog The Friendly Kitchen to join her in this new adventure.

Fanny as well is a young and passionate woman: with much love and determination she develops both savoury and sweet recipes that take the shape of delicious Buddha bowls and several yummy desserts like the very sought-after cheesecake, the carrot cake and the banana bread.

I do suggest you to come here and discover it: the food is healthy-licious, as I like to say, and people are simply, truly great.

Bravo Justine and Fanny!

I am fan!
