While in Turin, I visited the first 100% gluten free coffee and pastry shop of the city: Cafe Patisserie da Domenica. Founded by the lively Domenica Bevilacqua in 2013, Café Patisserie is a family run business and as Italians Domenica and her son Andrea welcome you in with the warmest smile and make you feel at ease and part of the family in a heartbeat.

I went there for breakfast and was immediately attracted by freshly baked croissants: with cream, nutella…it was quite difficult to make a choice. I fully enjoyed mine with a good Italian cappuccino.
Domenica created her Café Patisserie thinking of a place where she could sit down with her friends and enjoy delicious home-made gluten free food.
If you are lucky you will find her very sought-after apple cake or muffins. Domenica is specialising also in baking fresh gluten free bread and different kind of pizzas are available for lunch everyday.

Café Patisserie offers also a catering service and you can order cakes and tarts in advance for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries or just the pleasure of enjoying a very good gluten free cake at home!

By the way gluten free Baci di Dama biscuits, my favorite as a child, are also available and they are some of the best that I have ever had.
A special thank you to both Domenica and Andrea for welcoming me in such a nice and friendly way! I do hope to go back soon.
