Farmacy London with gluten free options

Farmacy is a beautiful plant-based, organic, dairy-free restaurant with several gluten free options on the menu, located in lovely Notting Hill in London.

All the ingredients are selected with the greatest care, most of them come from local producers and they are all sustainable.

It is true that nowadays London is offering more and more conscious, affordable foods that are prepared with real passion, fantastic cooking skills, it’s all natural, full of colours and it comes with an incredible taste!

And that always with an open vigilant eye (and I would add… an open mind) on people like us who suffer from food intolerances.

When you sit into an average coffee shop or restaurant today, the staff always takes care of asking if you have any food allergies. I find it so thoughtful and above all, professional.

At Farmacy pancakes with buckwheat flour, waffles with chocolate chips, avocado toasts, rawnola, salads, Buddha and smoothie bowls are all gluten free!

There is also a vegan burger that apparently is a must-try at the restaurant.

Eating healthy does not mean deprivation…on the contrary!

I had one of the best gluten free brunches of my life: I started with the rawnola (a raw granola made of activated buckwheat) served with homemade tigernut milk and fresh fruit…it was so good! I love granola very much and that one was crunchy and tasty.

After I ate the avocado toast with a poached egg on top …perfectly seasoned, unctuous, creamy…it was yum!

Another specialties here are the cold-pressed juices, the smoothies and the lattes made with super foods.

Farmacy is aimed at proposing food that is both good and good for you!

I tasted the Adaptogenic latte with reishi, chaga, ho shu wu, maca, vanilla protein powder, nut milk.

These Japanese mushrooms, they tell me, are a real boost for the immune system and also have a relaxing effect.

The latte was really delicious: creamy, naturally sweet, with some earthy warm notes that I particularly enjoyed.

And I can tell that I started to feel kind of sleepy and all relaxed afterwards… well, it definitely had its positive effect on me 😉

The herbal teas are all home made and come with real leaves and ingredients that you can spot in the beautiful transparent glass teapots.

I really enjoyed the food and my time at Farmacy: besides the staff was very kind and professional, I felt welcomed and at ease; human relations are important to me, and when I can check that box too when I visit a place, I am intended to become a loyal customer 🙂
